Just another fantastic day out on the water with Capt Dave we started out with lots of bites and caught a big Bluefish early on then the bite quit but the Capt never gave up on trying to land some fish we tried lots of spots and techniques but they just smart biting so he moved onto another area and then the bike was on. We caught over a dozen bluefish and ended the day with another awesome fishing trip with Captain Dave. Thank you.

Captain Dave was awesome it wasn’t a slammer day but we caught several spices and put fish in the Cooler he never gave up on putting us on fish. If you want a Captain that knows the water and where the fish could be then go fishing with Pamlico Pirates We had a great day and better time hanging with Captain Dave. Book your next trip with him. 5 Star 

My buddy and I are avid fishermen and had a fantastic trip and time with Captain Dave Hegel fishing for Old Drum on the Neuse during our two day charter! I can't say enough good things about him. He put us on the bait and fish both days, and covered a very large area. We had a blast! Other than his extensive knowledge of the river, fish and ecosystem, he was very personable and just a great, fun guy to fish with. He was very patient, going above and beyond to make sure our trip was a great experience. I have my own boat, but it's not worth the money and trouble/time pulling to the coast when I can simply pack a bag and meet him at the dock for a great day of fishing. I plan to book at least two trips with him next year, and every year thereafter. He'd be great with kids as well. Worth every penny!! Want to thank him personally for everything!!

I first met Dave around 1995 when he was in charge of promotions at Evinrude. He was always at the ramp looking to fish with the Prostaff. He wanted to learn. I still remember the day he had the largest bag on Kentucky Lake in his first FLW event. All the Prostaff were very proud. Dave is a knowledgeable angler and has been around industry legends all his life. I’m excited he’s decided to share his lessons.
