Brace for a Pamlico Pirate Fishing Frenzy: Reeling in Epic Inshore Action!
What a great day on the water we had here in Minnesott Beach, Pamlico County! I took Daryl out for our NC Charter Multi-Species Fishing Adventure, and the fishing was absolutely on fire. May is a prime time for inshore fishing in this area, with the warming waters bringing the fish up to feed aggressively.
We hit the water right around 8:00 am and started working the shorelines and creek mouths with our light tackle setups. It didn't take long before Daryl's rod bent over hard—he was into a nice Redfish that put up a spirited fight. After getting that one in the boat, the action just kept coming. We landed Spotted Weakfish, Bluefish, and a solid Black Drum, all putting on a show and keeping us on our toes.
The fishing was great, but the best part was just spending a fun day on the water with good company. The weather cooperated beautifully, with partly cloudy skies and a comfortable breeze. Even when the late afternoon rain rolled in, we just hunkered down and kept casting, determined to make the most of every minute. Between the great catches and the incredible scenery of the Pamlico Sound and Neuse River, it was the perfect way to experience the best of inshore fishing here in eastern North Carolina.
